Haibu Pharmaceutical's Fifteen Years: A Successful Journey of Lean R&D and a Successful Relocation Thank-You Event

On October 16, 2020, in Yizhuang, Beijing, China, Haibu Pharmaceutical held a relocation ceremony for its R&D office building and a thank-you celebration for its 15th anniversary. This grand event was initiated by Haibu Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., inviting Dr. Cheng Zengjiang, founder of Tongxieyi and chairman of Kebeiyuan (Beijing) Biopharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., to give a speech as a guest of honor at the relocation ceremony, along with many industry colleagues gathering in Beijing to share the celebration.

The relocation ceremony took place at the new site in A5 Building, Jinghai Industrial Park, Jinghai Fourth Road, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. The thank-you banquet for Haibu's 15th anniversary was held at the Grand Skylight International Hotel in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone.

The fifteenth anniversary of Haibu Pharmaceutical is also the fifteenth anniversary of my acquaintance with Chairman Liu Changru. The road to entrepreneurship is arduous; however, over the years I have always sensed calmness and confidence on Liu's face. Haibu Pharmaceutical has been making steady progress step by step while embracing industry developments and moving towards global reach. As it is said: 'Haibu haibu (step by step), vast sea and sky ahead.'

This relocation celebration mainly invited experts from fields such as drug research and development, production, marketing, finance, as well as relevant management departments.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the relocation event, guests were guided by Haibu Pharmaceutical staff to visit the new R&D office building site orderly while providing valuable suggestions.

Fifteen years have passed; time has left its mark on Haibu Pharmaceutical's name; over these fifteen years of striving for excellence in drug research and development road paved with challenges; through life's ups and downs during these fifteen years where Haibu began to take shape as a foundation was laid. Today we gather together to reflect on the bittersweet experiences of the past fifteen years while looking forward to another glorious fifteen years ahead.

Since its establishment in 2005 until now, Haibu Pharmaceutical's main business segments cover a full chain of chemical drugs along with multi-module R&D CRO services (generic drugs & innovative drug CMC). The R&D products involve multiple fields such as anti-tumor drugs, anti-depressants cardiovascular drugs digestive system respiratory system etc.; it has continuously received national high-tech enterprise status for fourteen consecutive years; ranked among China's top twenty pharmaceutical R&D companies for three consecutive years; obtained more than thirty invention patents; received over seventy clinical approval documents production licenses new drug certificates approved by China's National Medical Products Administration; submitted more than ten international registration applications including FDA EU etc.; achieved technology transfer exceeding one hundred projects cumulatively completed multiple technology achievements transformation along with commercial production realization for more than twenty series products.

The segment featuring good mentors left a deep impression during this celebration. The entrepreneurial journey over fifteen years has been fraught with thorns rather than being smooth sailing. There were dark moments when Haibu faced choices between staying or leaving gathering or dispersing fortunately this world never fails those who strive forward with help from teachers friends colleagues we crossed confusion anxiety hand in hand together during these fifteen years help warmth gathered within every heart at Haibu never forgotten.

"The atmosphere at the thank-you banquet was lively featuring large drum performances small choir showcasing team strength ethnic dances solo performances each having their own style there were also lucky draw segments where guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly. A poetry recitation titled 'Road of Dreams' presented by core team members illustrated how Haibu grew from nothing into something reflecting resilience perseverance never giving up spirit alongside magnificent visions deeply meaningful inspiring everyone."
