There is an old saying in China: 'A thousand troops are easy to find, but a general is hard to come by.' Managers in the workplace deeply resonate with this. A beautiful piece of art is just an unremarkable stone before it is finely carved, just as a talented person's abilities are ordinary people before they are brought to light.
We have always placed great importance on cultivating internal talent within the company, refining ordinary people who stay with us into true talents and partners. We share common goals, unite as one, share with each other, and grow together, focusing on R&D technology as our core competency to provide first-class quality service to our clients. Recently, we organized a 'Leadership Development Workshop,' and many colleagues have shared their reflections and summaries over the past few days!
I heard that Teacher Hong Chaoyang, who previously served as the head of human resources for Novartis and Novo Nordisk in China, will be the main speaker. I am looking forward to it!
When I received the training invitation, I felt not only the company's recognition of us but also its expectations and requirements for our ability improvement amidst its vigorous development.
Having been part of this big family at Haibu for over two years and experiencing project challenges and changes in small teams, we face the challenge of transforming small teams into ones with strong technical skills, cohesion, and high work efficiency. Just when I was reflecting without finding a way out, the company provided this timely rain; I felt both excited and nervous.
Teacher Hong asked us to write down our career dreams on the career dream wall. At that moment, a sense of confusion and helplessness arose.
Career dreams... The tediousness and busyness of work have long sealed away that once firm determination and dedication.
Career dreams; this question has been asked by others countless times, but I have never thought about it carefully.
Looking at the paper but unable to write for a long time—there was shyness and confusion. After hastily writing down my thoughts on that small piece of paper and sticking it on the career dream wall, I didn't even dare to look at it again.
As I shared my colleagues' simple yet grand career dreams while seeing the company's strategy unfold before me, it awakened my desire for pursuing my career once again.
When Teacher Hong helped us analyze ourselves and guided us on what changes we could make, I began to see that dream paper on the wall from a different perspective.
Under Teacher Hong's guidance and everyone's joint efforts, a clear portrait of leadership emerged before me.
'Leadership' does not equal strict management ability nor merely relying on authority to achieve performance goals; leadership is an ability that can elevate personal vision to higher realms, enhance team performance to higher standards, and empower others to transcend themselves.
'Continuous learning', 'providing service', 'spreading positive energy', 'knowing how to assign tasks effectively', 'balancing relationships'.
'To possess a spirit of cooperation', 'continuously self-renew', 'lead teams towards success'.
'To constantly change', adapting from managing oneself to managing others is a key turning point.'
'Clarifying individual goals and directions', making up one's mind to continuously improve oneself; everyone has initiated their own leadership challenges.
'The most impressive insight for me was from the MBTI personality test; it allowed me to understand myself and others more deeply through various dimensions such as extroversion vs introversion, sensing vs intuition, thinking vs feeling, judging vs perceiving. It changed my previous understanding of complex social relationships significantly.'
'There is no good or bad in personality; behind different behaviors lie various essences which naturally remind me of interactions at work—leading me towards greater understanding.'
'The part that interests me most is communication because in my perception those who excel at dealing with people possess high emotional intelligence. Initially feeling like I lacked significantly in this area made it hard for me to change; however this training changed my perspective.'
'Soulful praise brings satisfaction from being sincerely needed by others.'
'This was an inspiring training session.'
'Company colleagues—regardless of how long we've worked together—are mutually needed; it's gratefulness mixed with beauty.'
'Select suitable people for appropriate positions while focusing on employee capability enhancement and personal development; establish win-win interpersonal relationships.'
'Let them benefit from their work so they can perform better; help them grow rather than educate them.'
'Treat every employee fairly so they feel more belonging here—when people are present in heart as well as body.'
'Ensure all employees participate actively and contribute so everyone has a willingness to strive together.'
'The end of the course is just the beginning; truly applying what we've learned at work requires more practice.'
